jacket elbow patches

I think my mom might have a Staph infection?
My mom got stung by a bee or yellow jacket on her elbow. This happened friday night. It started itching, swelling and getting really warm on Sunday (this is when I found out about it). We originally thought it was just an allergic reaction to the venom (my her mom and I both get minor reactions to the yellow jacket stings), but today it started to form what looks like a patch of yellowish blisters. I think it my be a staph infection because my dad was diagnosed with a staph infection in his leg this morning.
It could be a staph infection, staph is a common bacteria that lives on the skin. It could also be other things as well. Go to the docs if this continues past a week. Normal for such small infections the body should be able to mount an immune response unless the body is immunocompromised.
